The Keith & Associates Distance Dietetic Internship (KADDI) provides interns with customizable rotation calendar templates to help efficiently organize their supervised practice experience. These structured tools are designed for each internship format and ensure interns can meet ACEND-required hour and competency benchmarks in a timely and organized manner.

Full-Time (FT) Internship Track
Intensive 26–34 week format with a weekly workload of 32–40 hours -
Part-Time (PT) Internship Track
Extended 52-week format for interns balancing work or graduate studies -
MSDI – 14-Month and 18-Month Tracks
For interns enrolled in the combined Master of Science and Dietetic Internship programs at the University of Alabama or University of Central Arkansas

Each template provides space to plan hours for clinical, community, food service, and elective rotations. A sample calendar is included to guide your planning and demonstrate best practices in scheduling hours while maintaining flexibility.
Note: ISPP Students will develop an individualized calendar per ISPP guidelines & approved by the ISPP coordinator.

ISPP Interns:
Suppose you are enrolled in KADDI’s Individualized Supervised Practice Pathway (ISPP). In that case, you will collaborate directly with the ISPP Coordinator to develop a custom calendar that fits your experience level and training goals. All ISPP calendars must comply with ACEND guidelines and be formally approved.

Share your proposed calendar with your assigned KADDI advisor for review

These templates help ensure all interns complete at least 1,000 supervised practice hours and meet all rotation-based competencies. Interns are encouraged to build in rest periods and plan with flexibility in mind, especially if preceptor availability changes.
I do think that KADDI helped push me to chase my dreams of wanting to start my own business here in the near future. I also think it allowed me to gain confidence more quickly given I did feel like I was on my own for most of it.
