How to Apply to the ISPP Program at KADDI – A Doctoral-Level Dietetic Internship Track
The Keith & Associates Distance Dietetic Internship (KADDI) welcomes applicants to its Individualized Supervised Practice Pathway (ISPP)—a unique, ACEND-accredited internship track for individuals who hold (or are completing) a doctoral degree in a related field.
Unlike traditional dietetic internships, the ISPP program does not use DICAS and is not part of the centralized match process. All applications are submitted directly through KADDI and reviewed on a rolling basis.
ISPP Application Requirements
To apply, candidates must submit the following:
-
KADDI-ISPP Application Form
-
Official transcripts from all institutions attended, including documentation of doctoral degree conferment (or expected completion)
-
Three letters of recommendation from academic or professional references (professors, faculty mentors, supervisors)
-
Current resume or curriculum vitae (CV)
-
Statement of Intent explaining why the applicant is pursuing the RDN credential
There is no application fee and no deadline. Applications are reviewed within 2–4 weeks after receipt of all materials.
Applicants with a doctoral degree “in progress” may be conditionally accepted, with full admission granted once the degree is officially conferred.
Interview Process
Applicants who meet minimum eligibility criteria (see below) will be invited to a virtual interview via video conference. A decision on acceptance is provided within two weeks of the interview.
Eligibility Requirements for the ISPP Track
-
Doctoral degree (conferred or near completion)
-
GPA of 3.0 or higher
-
Preceptor and rotation sites must be secured at the time of application (though affiliation agreements are not required until acceptance)
Please review the Facilities & Preceptors page for help locating and arranging your supervised practice sites.
PAL Credit Opportunity
If accepted, students may complete a Prior Assessed Learning (PAL) form. This document helps determine whether previously acquired competencies can reduce required supervised practice hours.
The ISPP Coordinator will assess all submitted materials and determine if prior experience qualifies for credit, allowing for a shortened internship timeline.
